Kandahar Incident: Nearly 4-meter-tall giant killed by US special forces in the Middle East?

Did the Kandahar Giants Really Exist?

It is rumored that US special forces took down a Kandahar giant nearly 4 meters tall in Afghanistan in 2002. In August 2016, a US YouTuber posted a video interviewing an arms dealer named Mr.K. In the video, Mr.K talks about the special military operation he participated in in 2002.

According to Mr.K’s description, this operation was carried out with international coalition forces in Afghanistan and was called “Operation Enduring Freedom”. During this time, he witnessed the shooting down of a Kandahar giant by special forces in Afghanistan.

Mr.K said the Kandahar giant was nearly 4 meters tall, had bright red hair, and had six fingers. In a fierce battle with the special forces, the giant killed a member of the special forces with a spear before the rest of the unit took it down with 30 seconds of continuous fire.

"People The Bamiyan Valley, located in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush mountains, has long been dotted with stories and legends. One of the most famous tales is that of the Kandahar Giants, massive creatures that were said to have once inhabited the area.

Legend of the Kandahar Giant

In 2002, a group of soldiers lost contact with their base while patrolling the remote mountains of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan, so the military sent a special forces unit to investigate. At the top of the mountain, the task force discovered a mysterious cave with military equipment scattered around but no sign of the missing soldiers. And that’s when they came across the Kandahar Giant.

Over time, the incident was exaggerated, with reports even claiming that a 5-meter-tall, strange-looking giant wearing soft-soled leather shoes and smelling of “dead bodies” suddenly rushed out of the cave and stabbed an American soldier named “Dan” with a spear. After 30 seconds of firepower, the giant fell.

Another report said that the team members were armed with fully automatic M4 carbines , semi-automatic scout carbines, and M107 Barrett anti-material rifles loaded with “50 BMG” rounds , such powerful firepower that it could kill any living creature in a second. After the giant was killed, the special forces loaded its body onto a Chinook helicopter and it was never seen again. The special forces team was then forced to sign a confidentiality agreement and promised not to reveal any details, however, eventually, some soldiers broke that silence.

Government denial has fueled more conspiracy theories

In August 2016, Snopes (a website specializing in verifying Internet rumors and verifying urban legends. It was founded in 1994) contacted the US Department of Defense about the “Kandahar Giant Incident”. However, the Department of Defense clearly informed the agency. In the media, they have no recorded information about “special forces members killed by the Kandahar Giant” , nor any news about the Kandahar Giant.

However, this answer seems to have led many media outlets to believe that the US government is “trying to hide the truth from the public”.

At the same time Snopes published its question, self-proclaimed paranormal expert LA Marzulli told several media sites that the US government had covered up the incident for fear of hurting their own interests and causing public panic. He added, “People have a right to know these things. If there are 4 or 5 meter tall creatures roaming the Earth and our military has taken them down, we as American citizens have a right to know. It’s not a military secret, and this giant has connections to biblical prophecies.”

The Legend of the Origin of the Kandahar Giants

The legend of the giant Kandahar appears in many different cultures, especially in the Middle East and South Asia. Each culture has its own variations, but they all share some core elements.

According to legend, the Kandahar giants were descendants of a god or a mythical creature. They were described as people of extraordinary size, with unparalleled strength.

The Kandahar Giants are said to have once lived in the Kandahar Mountains of Afghanistan. They are said to have built great structures, such as towers and huge walls. But over time, the Kandahar Giants gradually disappeared from the world. Various reasons have been given to explain their disappearance, including: Some legends say that the Kandahar Giants were destroyed in a war with other tribes; Other legends say that the Kandahar Giants were destroyed by a natural disaster, such as a flood or earthquake; Still other legends say that the Kandahar Giants were cursed by a god or a shaman.

Although the Kandahar giants are long gone, they have left a lasting mark on culture and history. Many places in Afghanistan are named after them, and stories about them are still told today.

In 2016, LA Marzulli linked the event to biblical prophecy. According to him, these creatures were the Nephilim, a group of people mentioned in the Old Testament books of Genesis and Numbers, who were said to be “people of unusual size and strength” who could be found in the Middle East both before and after the great flood.

But Bible scholars largely agree that stories about the Nephilim are metaphors and not based on the reality of a 4- to 5-meter-tall giant living in the desert.
