Travis revealed he tried and failed to give Taylor his phone number during her Kansas City tour stop. “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” he revealed during the July 26 episode of his “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” podcast alongside Philadelphia Eagles star and brother Jason Kelce.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” he added, saddened that he didn’t get a chance to meet the superstar.

Travis’ older brother Jason semi-joked about reports that Travis and Taylor were getting to know one another. During a September 20 appearance on DeCamara & Ritchie on Audacy’s SportsRadio 94 WIP, the Eagles star was asked about Travis’ dating life and responded, “It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about Travis’ love life. I try to keep his business kind of his business, stay out of that world.”

He continued, “Having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100 percent true, and I hope this thing goes a mile” before adding, “No, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.”

Travis revealed he asked Taylor out in only a way that two superstars could. During a September 23 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the professional athlete didn’t say if they had met in person but revealed he told Taylor, “I’ve seen you rock the stage at Arrowhead [Stadium]. You might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.”

Taylor wasted no time on taking Travis up on his offer. She sat in a box at Arrowhead Stadium alongside his mom, Donna Kelce, as she watched the Chiefs trounce the Chicago Bears 41-10 on September 24. The “Blank Space” singer was shown in numerous cutaways during the game wearing a Chiefs jacket and had an energetic reaction to Travis scoring a touchdown.

Following the game, Taylor and Travis left Arrowhead Stadium together with a fan capturing the first video of the pair walking together closely. The duo then got into his vintage convertible and reportedly headed to a restaurant where the pair mingled with his teammates in a victory party.

PDA photos of the pair surfaced on September 27, where Taylor and Travis got cozy at an afterparty following the game. The Grammy winner was spotted sitting on the NFL star’s lap with her arms wrapped around his neck.

Travis described what it was like having Taylor attend his game and meet his friends and family during his September 27 episode of the “New Heights Show” podcast.

“Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy,” he said of the singer. “I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, you know, the friends and family. She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in a great light.”

“To see the slow-motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with mom. To see how Chiefs kingdom was all excited that she was there, that s–t was absolutely hysterical, and it was definitely a game I’ll remember that’s for damn sure. And then we just slid off in the getaway car at the end,” he added, giving a sweet shout-out to Taylor’s hit song “Getaway Car.”

As the Chiefs traveled to East Rutherford, New Jersey, to take on the New York Jets for the October 1 Sunday Night Football game, Taylor was again watching Travis play from a skybox at MetLife Stadium.

During a cutaway as the matchup came to a close, the “Cruel Summer” songstress was seen leaning over to pal Blake Lively and seeming to say, “Look at him,” as she gazed down at the field watching Travis celebrate the Chiefs’ win.

The earlier in the day, Travis was photographed leaving Taylor’s New York City apartment in her black Range Rover and was pictured exiting the vehicle at his team’s Weehawken, New Jersey, hotel hours before their game.

After fans went crazy over Taylor’s two appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games, she and Travis seemingly decided to not be as open with their romance.

In fact, the Grammy winner reportedly flew to his home state “to see Travis” on October 6 to celebrate his birthday, a source told Us Weekly.

Taylor and Travis were spotted holding hands as they headed to the Saturday Night Live afterparty following Travis’ surprise appearance on the show. A source exclusively told Life & Style that the couple “seemed to really be enjoying each other” at the party and were “kissing throughout the night.”

The couple got together again the next day after Travis attended the Eagles-Jets game without Taylor. They were seen holding hands and dressed for a date night as they exited Waverly Inn after dinner.

Taylor proved to be a good luck charm for the Chiefs, as she attended their fourth game and watched the team beat the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, making the team undefeated when she’s in the stands. The “Karma” singer cheered on Travis from a suite while wearing a red Chiefs sweatshirt and Travis raised his fist in the air with joy behind the scenes of the game when someone called him “Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.

Before the pair headed out of the stadium, Taylor and Travis posed for a photo with his teammate, Mecole Hardman Jr., and his  girlfriend, Chariah Gordon,. In one snapshot, the Grammy winner gave the NFL superstar a sweet kiss on the cheek as the future Hall of Famer beamed with joy.

November 2023

Taylor brought her Eras tour to Argentina on the weekend of November 11. Travis had a bye week from football and flew down south to support her. While he watched the show from the VIP tent with Taylor’s dad, she gave him a shoutout by changing the lyrics to her song “Karma” onstage.

“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me,” Taylor sang with a smirk. Travis was blushing the entire time and was waiting backstage to give Taylor a kiss after the show.

After wrapping up her final show of the South American leg of her Eras tour on November 26, Taylor flew via her private jet from São Paulo, Brazil, early the next morning to see Travis in Kansas City after a brief stop to refuel in Tampa, Florida. She arrived in K.C. around 11 a.m. local time, although the Grammy winner has yet to be spotted in the city. Taylor and Travis spent the Thanksgiving holiday apart as she performed the first of her three shows at Allianz Parque stadium the following day while Travis dined on a meal of KFC with pals back at home.

December 2023

Taylor flew to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to cheer on Travis as the Chiefs took on the Packers on Sunday Night Football. While she and pal Brittany Mahomes had moments to celebrate during the game, the defending Super Bowl champs lost in a shocking upset 27-19. It was the first game where Taylor was present in which the Chiefs lost, as they were victorious in her previous four outings.

In her cover story interview after being named Time‘s Person of the Year, Taylor clarified her and Travis’ dating timeline — dropping the bombshell that the pair were already a couple when she attended her first Chiefs game back in September.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told the outlet. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Taylor cheered Travis on in a vintage Chiefs sweatshirt as he played against the Buffalo Bills on December 10. After the Chiefs’ 20-17 loss, a downtrodden Travis and Taylor left Arrowhead Stadium hand in hand.

The superstar and her parents spent Christmas Day 2023 with Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, as the Chiefs took on the Las Vegas Raiders. They were joined by Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, and his girlfriend, Sydney Ness.

Travis was back on the field on New Year’s Eve, playing against the Cincinnati Bengals. Not only did the Chiefs take home the win, but the football star shared the day with Taylor. “The atmosphere was great on New Year’s Eve,” Travis told his brother, Jason, on their “New Heights” podcast three days later.

Travis kicked off the new year by admitting that he’s feeling the heat when it comes to nailing Valentine’s Day this year, given that his girlfriend is literally Taylor Swift.

Traylor fans were FED with content following the Kansas City Chiefs’ AFC Championship win. Taylor joined Travis on the field after the game, and the couple embraced as the tight end’s team solidified their place in the 2024 Super Bowl. Travis could be heard asking his girlfriend how the game was and where she was seated, while Taylor seemingly told him that she loved him.

Travis shut down rumors that he planned to propose to Taylor if he and the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII during a February 5, 2024, press conference.

“I’m focused on getting this ring, and that’s all that my mind’s focused on right now,” Travis told reporters, referring to the ring given by the NFL to Super Bowl winners.

Taylor’s first time at a Super Bowl was a tense experience, as the Chiefs played a close game against the San Francisco 49ers. The pop star spent the game watching closely and biting her nails during stressful moments. However, after trailing behind the opposing team for most of the night, the Chiefs redeemed themselves in the final seconds and came out victorious. Of course, Taylor joined Travis on the field afterward to celebrate the big win.

After the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 victory, the couple joined his team at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas for the afterparty. Taylor and Travis sweetly sang along as DJ Marshmello played a dance remix of her hit “Love Story” in between kisses.

One of Travis’ coaches revealed that Taylor started secretly coming to his games prior to making her big debut at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, 2023.

“When she started to come around, it was privately. She was coming into the stadiums without people really knowing until the camera put a big spotlight on it,” Dave Merritt, the Chiefs’ defensive backs coach, revealed during “The Sports Shop With Reese and K-Mac” podcast. He wasn’t specific on which games Taylor snuck into under the radar.

Travis was in the audience at Sydney, Australia’s Accor Stadium to watch Taylor perform down under. With her boyfriend in the V.I.P. tent, she sang the altered lyrics to “Karma,” singing, “Karma is a guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.” Taylor also pointed in Travis’ direction while performing “Willow,” during the line “That’s my man.”

They day prior, the couple enjoyed and outing to the Sydney Zoo, where they got to get up close with Australian species while holding hands and swapping kisses.

If fans didn’t love Taylor and Travis enough, they were fed more adorable content when the football star traveled to watch the Grammy-history making artist perform. Travis was spotted dancing in the crowd, and later embraced Taylor as she ran off stage.

Taylor Swift released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, and fans speculated that the songs “The Alchemy” and “So High School” were about her relationship with Travis. 

“The Alchemy” included several sports and football references, as Taylor sings, “So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut ‘em from the team,” and, “Beer sticking to the floor, cheers chanted ‘cause they said, ‘There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league.’ Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me.”

On “So High School,” she sings about the giddy feeling of a new romance with the lyric, “I feel so high school every time I look at you, but look at you.” The obvious reference to Travis is when Taylor sings, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.”

The couple attended Patrick Mahomes’ 15 and Mahomies Foundation Golf Classic gala in Las Vegas. Not only was Travis photographed sweetly grabbing Taylor’s behind, but the NFL star also referred to his girlfriend as his “significant other” while auctioning off tickets to one of her ​fall 2024 U.S. Eras tour stops.

Travis took in Taylor’s final night of her four sold-out shows in Paris, France, while kicking off the Europe leg of her Eras tour. She told the audience, “Can you believe this is our 87th show?” which happens to be the football player’s jersey number before launching into “The Alchemy” as one of her surprise songs. The song is believed to be about falling in love with Travis.

Taylor also changed her costume for her 1989 segment to a gold top and red miniskirt, in an apparent tribute to the Chiefs’ team colors.

Travis gushed about the concert during the May 15 episode of his “New Heights” podcast, telling brother Jason Kelce, “It was fun. It was a blast. I had a blast at Tay’s show.”

He continued, “Her new rendition of the Eras tour, I suggest everybody go see it. It has her new Tortured Poets Department [set]. A handful of those songs [are] in the new show, which means there’s a new segment and new lights and new dancing, new everything to the f–king show. I suggest everybody get out there and see [it]. It is absolutely unbelievable.”

Travis and Taylor flew from Paris to Lake Como, Italy, for a romantic three-day getaway prior to her next tour stop in Sweden.

The couple were initially photographed having a PDA-filled stroll through town. They were later pictured having a private candlelight dinner for two outside the $21,000 per night Villa Sola Cabiati, which the pair rented for their stay. Paparazzi caught Travis and Taylor taking a boat ride together on the ​lake on May 15, where they were seen taking photos of each other aboard the vessel as well as kissing.

Both “The Alchemy” and “So High School” are featured on Taylor’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, and are believed to be about her boyfriend. The songs feature lyrics with football references while singing about falling in love with someone new.
