Just three days before she’s due in Vancouver, Canada, to kick off the final weekend of the Eras tour, Taylor Swift spent some quality time with one of her besties in NYC. The pop star was photographed heading to dinner at the Waverly Inn with Gigi Hadid on Tuesday, December 3.
For the night out, Taylor, 34, rocked a black sweater and maxiskirt, which she paired with a pair of pointy-toed heels. She completed her look with her hair pulled back into a low bun and carried a silver purse. Meanwhile, Gigi, 29, rocked a red ensemble with maroon leather jacket and sunglasses.
An eyewitness at the restaurant told DeuxMoi, “Seemed like some gossip was being spilt [sic]. Lots of giggling and whispering. Whole restaurant was on major high alert.”
Taylor and Gigi have had over 10 years of friendship. They were first photographed together at an Oscars afterparty in 2014 and have been close ever since. “As a friend, Gigi is one of the first people I go to for advice,” Taylor told Harper’s Bazaar in 2017. “She has this incredible ability to see all sides of a situation and simplify it for you, to see the complexity of people.”

The evening in the Big Apple comes after Taylor reportedly spent Thanksgiving with her family, Travis Kelce and his family in Nashville. Since the couple had to be apart for the holiday in 2023 due to their schedules, this was the first time they were able to spend it together. The following day, the “Cruel Summer” singer headed to Kansas City to watch Travis, 35, and the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders in a Black Friday game.
Needless to say, it’s been quite a busy off week for Taylor, who finished a string of shows in Toronto on November 23 before heading back to the States for her time off. Now, she’s gearing up to finish out the Eras tour with three shows in the western part of Canada on Friday, December 6, Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8.
It’s expected to be an emotional weekend with the tour coming to an end. Taylor already started getting choked up about the Eras tour ending at her final Toronto show and even shed tears while talking about it on stage.
“To my band and to my crew and to everybody who has put so much into this tour … I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore,” the Grammy winner said as she started to cry. “I’m just having a bit of a moment, sorry. It’s not even the last show!”
After pulling herself together, Taylor continued, “My band, my crew, all my fellow performers … we have put so much of our lives into this. And you have put so much of your lives into being here with us tonight and giving us that moment that we’ll never forget. We’ve loved our time in Toronto. It’s been so amazing.” The Eras tour began in March 2023 and has been to five continents with over 150 shows total.
