The popular saying, “Life isn’t all rainbows and unicorns,” does not apply to the common warbler. This little flying rainbow has such a unique color pattern that it is, without a doubt, one of the cutest and most colorful birds out there!
Bright Side always strives to bring a little extra color into your lives, and we thought this little bundle of joy could do just that.
The white-browed warbler lives in China, the Tian Shan, and the Himalayas, and can be found in boreal forests. They have purple-blue fur with a brown cap, a pink belly, and an eyebrow that appears gray or white. males have more vibrant colors than females. They weigh 6–8 g (0.21–0.28 oz) and are 8.5–10 cm (3.3–3.9 in) long.
These birds are not only beautiful, but they are also very polite, as their tweets make the “sirrrrrr” sound. White-browed warblers live in pairs during the breeding season, but toward the end, they join flocks of 25 or more. They also have a very colorful diet ranging from small insects and spiders to small amounts of berries and seeds during the fall and winter.
Fortunately, these colorful birds are not threatened with extinction, which could be due to their well-camouflaged nests or a lack of local predators in their nesting areas.
