Cardi B was in great spirits while celebrating her win for Best Hip Hop Video at The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, held at The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Monday evening.
Joining in on the success were musicians Taylor Swift, who took home two awards, and Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish, who scooped three prizes each at the star-studded music event.
I Like It rapper Cardi, 26, couldn’t contain her delight as she was presented with the first moon man of the night by Rick Ross and Pepa for her hit song Money, beating out the likes of fellow musicians Travis Scott, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz and DJ Khaled.

Beaming with excitement, Cardi told the crowds: ‘Hold on, wait a minute. This is a video music award, I really want to thank my music video team, the director and everything.
‘She has to hear my mouth and in my stomach and in my butt. And I want to thank my dance team. Thank you so much. Thank you everybody.’
Ensuring all eyes were on her, the New Yorker highlighted her killer curves in a red woven ensemble, which featured a turtleneck choker, a dipped hemline and a perilously plunging neckline to highlight her ample bust.
The former LHHNY star had her raven tresses styled into a sleek bob by celebrity stylist Tokyo Stylez on behalf of Suave Professionals, who explained that he went for a relatively low-key ‘do in order to allow the rest of Cardi’s bold look to take center stage.

‘Cardi is known for her bold looks, but we kept it low-key tonight!’ he explained. ‘As a team, we decided short and shiny would be best for the hair, since the look was busy. Cardi loves a simple moment!’
To achieve the simple look, the beauty pro prepped the hair with the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Shampoo and Conditioner, and then used the Sleek Anti-Frizz Smooth & Shine Cream, in order to keep hair looking frizz-free throughout the night.
Finally the look was finished of with the Firm Control Finishing Hairspray, which was sprayed down the hair in order to smooth any remaining flyaways.
