The Philadelphia Eagles’ stellar season hit a snag Sunday night when Brandon Graham suffered a torn triceps, an injury that ended his season.
The 36-year-old edge rusher admitted his career could be coming to an end due to injury, saying after the Eagles’ win on Sunday night that while he didn’t want to go out this way, “it’s heading towards that.”
Graham remained calm as he spoke to reporters on Sunday night in Los Angeles, but he let his emotions show in a radio interview on Tuesday.

Graham said he was “trying to hold back” from speaking, and hosts at Philly radio station WIP reiterated to Graham that he would not let “nobody” down because of the injury.
“I just feel more heartbroken about how we come every week and try to go through it all and be there for them. I’m still there for them, I know that. I just need this right here,” Graham said on the show . “I need to get this out. It’s been a long time since I cried, man.”

“It hurts me a little bit, because I’ve been here 15 years and people doubted me, it’s a big deal for me and I think I’ve accomplished a lot this year. I know it’s God’s plan. I’m trusting it. That’s where I’m at. I need this, man.
After the match, Graham said he was “pleased” to play his last shot, but he still wanted to play.
Graham won the 2018 Super Bowl with the Birds, with whom he has spent his entire career since being the 13th overall pick in 2010 out of Michigan.

He made his only Pro Bowl in 2020, but his best season came in 2022, when he recorded 11 sacks after playing in just two games the year before. He finished fourth in 2022 Comeback Player of the Year voting.
