Recent discoveries in the Indian Hoshangabad region of Madhya Pradesh have revealed ancient cave paintings that could change our understanding of prehistoric human interaction with other terrestrial beings.

Hidden deep in the forests of Charama within the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, the cave paintings are located in villages Chandeli and Gotitola in the tribal Bastar region, about 130 km from the city of Raipur. They were discovered by a group of anthropologists and hill tribes working in the area.
The natives have long believed in myths about the “Rohela people”, the celestial beings who would take the villagers and pass on knowledge and technology before they disappeared.
